for all those who dont do pvp, and who only engage in pve, i think it would be good to have a weekend event or contest to see who was the best pve'er.

2 different contests
1. do a straightforward mission, they both enter at the same time, they are timed for how long they take to get to the next town through the mission. One Anet official will accompany them to make sure they don't skip cutscenes so they both have the same chance. the winner overall gets a crown or sumthin i dunno somethin to do with pve.

2. Endurance, your team, or yourself goes to a place and anet sends waves of monsters at you until you die, if you lasted longest against the monsters you win the contest, things like this but on a pvp championship scale.

challenge missions cant be accessed by everybody, they're not that recognised and theres no real reward if you win and stay at the top.

What you're suggesting is essentially the nature of challenge missions. The only difference is that you're suggesting we get better rewards for topping the list, and maybe for challenge missions that are automatically accessible, kinda like... pvp?

PvE on a championship scale? Keep dreaming buddy. For the endurance test PvE'ers would just hop on their 55 or whatever the hell is in use now and run around. An interesting championship, I wonder how interested people would be in watching a monk with a bunch of enchants tanking trolls for 5 hours.
